Finding a reliable primary care doctor is the first action to be proactive about your own health. These days, I see too many people accessing their local phone book and choosing doctors by looking at advertisements on the yellow pages or watching advertisements on TV. I believe this isn't the right method of selecting your best direct primary care doctors in Charlotte, NC.

Below are some steps you need to be following:
1. Ask your family members and friends whom they see for their primary health care. Request referrals from them.
2. Contact the local medical center or hospital you'd prefer to go to and ask for the referral. Nowadays, lots of hospitals have physician referral hotlines.
3. Contact your State Medical Board. Request them to recommend some doctors to you. Let them know in advance that you don't want any referrals to physicians with complaints against them. Additionally, any doctor who you're considering must verify the credentials of their state medical board.
4. Contact local nurses. If you don't have any nurses personally then ask your friends and relatives for recommendations if they have. It is often my experience that the most reliable referrals originate from nurses who typically are aware of who is the top within one particular area of medicine.
Take a seat and note the name of the doctors who have been recommended to you. Then, go through your list. If you feel at ease with a particular one get rid of the rest.
